Pencil and Watercolour Introduction 4 x 2hr sessions

Thursdays  1pm-3pm

Learn how to really see what you are drawing. How to measure and construct a highly realistic drawing centered around botanical subjects or portraits. You will learn about line and tone and the techniques of shading to recreate a 3 dimensional appearance.

You will be introduced to the materials an artist uses, why there is more to the simple pencil than meets the eye and how to draw with an eraser. From here you will practice watercolour handling techniques including colour mixing and paper varieties. You will discover the differences in paint qualities and what makes a good watercolour brush.

You will create botanical or figurative works with sensitivity and realism that will amaze yourself and others all created in a fun and engaging environment.

This course includes all the artists quality materials you will need.

This class is strictly limited to 3 students to maintain a healthy and happy studio.
